Next Generation Sequencing
We offer next generation sequencing services on our Illumina NovaSeq X Plus, Illumina NovaSeq 6000 and Illumina MiSeq. The combination of these systems provides us with a wide degree of flexibility in terms of read length and depth, allowing us to quickly sequence small amplicon-based sequencing projects as well as larger whole-genome scale projects.
Overview of Illumina Sequencing by Synthesis Workflow
NovaSeq X Plus
The NovaSeq X series has many improvements on its predecessor, the NovaSeq 6000, including exceptional speed (higher throughput ultrahigh-density flow cells and reduced run times), data quality and accuracy (advanced chemistry and ultrahigh-resolution optics) and a significant reduction in sequencing reagent costs.
The NovaSeq X Plus system is powered by Illumina XLEAP-SBS chemistry – a faster, higher fidelity, and more robust advancement to proven Illumina sequencing by synthesis (SBS) chemistry. The onboard DRAGEN platform speeds up computing and facilitates faster data transfers.
Three flow cell types are currently available with the X series, 1.5B, 10B and 25B which provides the broadest output range. The NovaSeq X Plus System generates from 165 Gb/1.6 B reads to 8 Tb/26 B reads of data in single flow cell mode. In dual flow cell mode, output can be up to 16 Tb and 52 B reads.

NovaSeq 6000
The NovaSeq combines throughput and flexibility for virtually any method, genome, and scale; supporting diverse applications such as large whole-genome sequencing, exome and large panel sequencing, single-cell profiling, transcriptome sequencing, and more. It utilizes a variety of flow cell types (SP, S1, S2, S4) to provide a broad output range. The NovaSeq 6000 System generates from 80Gb/800M reads to 3Tb/10B reads of data in single flow cell mode. In dual flow cell mode, output can be up to 6Tb and 20B reads.

MiSeq
The MiSeq is a smaller unit used primarily for small whole-genome sequencing, targeted gene (amplicon) sequencing, immune repertoire sequencing, and 16s metagenomics sequencing. We also offer a variety of flow cell types for the MiSeq to better serve a range of sequencing depths and project sizes.
